Each year the Music Academy of the West mounts a fully-staged opera showcasing the talents of the superb fellows of the vocal department headed by renowned mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. Often featuring provocative works from outside the classic repertoire, this year their production of Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress was superb!
